A man that that was involved in a motorcycle crash on Sunday is now reported to have died on Monday morning, at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. According to reports, Donald Murray was trying to avoid the accident when he ended up hitting the vehicle.
Murray was riding his 2006 Yamaha motorcycle through vehicles on the straight of Highway 1 when a 1986 Chevy pickup turned ahead of him, forcing him to hit his brakes. Murray lost control, was thrown from his vehicle, and the bike then flipped onto its side. At this point, Murray and his motorcycle hit the turning vehicle. Upon impact, the truck was thrown off the road into a nearby hedge, while the motorcycle finally stopped and the man landed next to the truck.
A REACH helicopter arrived at the scene, escorting Murray to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. Unfortunately, Murray was pronounced dead at 10:35 Monday morning. Juan Rubio, the pickup truck’s driver, was uninjured but did mention neck pain after the motorcycle accident.
