A motorcycle accident on the westbound freeway occurred at the 241 toll road and produced possible critical injuries. The motorcyclist was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana soon after the solo bike crash.  The cause of the accident  and the biker’s current condition is not known at this time.  California Highway patrol responded to the accident at 7:40 a.m. and remained on the scene until  two block lanes were cleared up.

Often times when people hear of a solo motorcycle accident, they automatically leap to the assumption that the biker is to blame.  The idea of the speed demon cyclist is very pervasive and it doesn’t help that here are plenty of crazy motorcycle drivers giving the rest a bad name.  In reality,  motorcycle accidents can happen for a number of reasons.  For instance, the above driver could have been forced out of his lane by someone refusing to yield the right of way.  This type of accident happens very often and can cause injury and death to the cyclist.  Another scenario is that the motorcycle itself malfunctioned.

Either way, it would pay to investigate the matter so surviving family members know what happened.  If the accident was truly the fault of someone else, they could pursue the guilty party via a wrongful death lawsuit.  Have you lost a loved on in s similar manner?  Then don’t delay!  Call us today to set up a free consultation and learn more about the rights of motorcyclists and the steps you can take to receive justice.
