Gardena Man Dies From Motorcycle Crash Injuries

A man from Gardena, aged 24, died on Thursday night from injuries he sustained in an earlier accident. Earlier in the week on Saturday, the man, identified as Leonard Torres, crashed his motorcycle into a truck that was parked., at a site in Ojai. According to reports, Torres was traveling down Highway 33, just south of Chorro Grande Creek, when he lost control of the motorcycle, crashing into the parked truck. Since the man was coming around a left turn, he slid off and underneath the parked truck.

CHP officers accompanied by others at the scene of the accident removed Torres after lifting the truck from atop him. After the 12:20 pm accident, Torres was taken to the Ventura County Medical Center, where he remained for the past five days until he died. The medical examiner reported the time of death as 10:30 pm on Thursday night.
